Doesnt work after linking up

Once I linked the app with the tv, clearly on the same network, the app would say the tv needed to be on for at least 30 seconds on the network. Which it was. After paying for the ads to be removed since I figured this app would be handy, it clearly was a huge waste of money and I want a return!
